Imbolc is an artist-led festival of art, music, poetry, and food every first weekend of February. An ancient Gaelic holiday, the festival welcomes the start of spring, plans the year’s harvest, and honors healing, poetry, wisdom, and fire. Since 2023, an intergenerational network of artists and neighbors began to reclaim and reimagine this holiday across Detroit homes, co-ops, and small businesses. To date, 1,000+ people have attended 16 events across 15 venues, distributing $15,600 to 35 artists and small businesses.
We are looking to close a funding gap for five days of art, poetry, and music programming from January 29th to February 2nd, 2026 across six venues in Detroit. Your support here will help us fund fifteen free events debuting 50+ artist installations and interventions for 1,000 attendees.
Support artists today to build tomorrow’s tradition.
